A custom-made DJ and Bar Cart made with solid timber panels in recycled Australian reds, white marble tabletop and polished steel. Inspired by Richard Young for Merrow Associates model 378R 1965 Drinks Trolley, the modern design uses mixed media to combine blend functionality, balance and unique design. The build took considerable engineering to support the high-quality, dense materials and the objects on top. A self-contained Custom 500W Power Supply battery-powered unit is modular to the DJ/Bar Cart and can power a live performance untethered for several hours.
This work was a commission for Molonglo Group to activate the city with live performances or a feature piece to any event. A combination of form and function where aesthetic design meets performance.
